ID-Coop will generate new knowledge about cooperativism in the areas studied. Moreover, it aims to promote sustainable entrepreneurship with a strong cultural character that is at the service of the local community. The project also seeks to counteract rural-to-urban migration and to promote the local market. Finally, ID-Coop aims to raise awareness that linguistic and cultural diversity can be an important factor for economic development. Thus, other communities and institutions with similar characteristics to those considered by the project should be motivated to support and promote cooperatives in order to enhance their territories.

The results and experiences of ID-Coop are not limited to the project itself nor to the areas studied. Instead, they will be of relevance even after the end of the project, and can be shared with, and used, in other similar contexts.
